My eyes are seeing fuzzy.  Learning to stare at an extended desktop screen for eight hours does that to me.  You know, the kind of fuzzy that puts you prematurely to sleep when you’re not tired?

I am learning to cope with the fuzzy, but as hard as I try to focus, that kind of fuzzy prevents me from seeing cool tabs like this “Newsletter Sign-Up” feature by the “About” section.

I have been trying to write the past few days, but I am out of words.  Perhaps, the humility of taking on such an endeavor has stolen my words.  Although my baking plans were certainly doable since I used quite a number of recipes that could be prepped in advance, I have never churned out seven very different items in a two-day span before.

Coupled with the fact that I had several last minute-changes in venue and a broken-down car, I was left frustrated and stressed over the fact I had little control over the party itself or even the completion of the entire menu.  (Some ingredients were too exotic to find, and others were not practical to make within the allotted time.)  Fortunately, my friends were kind enough to give a helping hand whether that be helping me set-up, provide a location, etc.  That’s one thing I definitely learned about bake sales: I need help even if it’s not the baking aspect!

I will admit that I am a big dreamer.  Always have been.  My mother was always concerned with that since I never seemed grounded in reality.  I would flit from wanting to be an archaeologist to a marine biologist.  Shh!  Don’t tell her I had dreams of running away from home to study for one of the origami masters in Japan at one point!  O-O

Now that I am older, I realize it’s important to be able to realize your dream.  Otherwise, it feels as though there is this large disconnect between what I want to do and what I am told to do.  At least, trying to be a more authentic person is what I am setting out to do.

One of those childhood dreams was to hold my own bake sale.  Haha, I know bake sales are not such a big deal since many people have hosted them before, so I do want to change it up a bit and make it more difficult :)
